Trainee Transmission Officer

Express News is seeking a Trainee Transmission Officer to join its team in Lahore. This role is an entry-level position ideal for fresh graduates looking to start a career in the television broadcast industry. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth, accurate, and timely broadcast of all scheduled content, requiring strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

Key Responsibilities :

Content Playout & Scheduling: Ensure all scheduled content—including programs, commercials, and promos—is aired accurately and on time. This involves working with playout systems to manage the broadcast playlist .

Live Transmission Monitoring: Actively monitor live transmission to maintain screen integrity, watching for and preventing issues such as black screens, audio/video loss, or other technical faults.

Coordination: Serve as a key coordinator, communicating with internal teams including News, PCR, Creative, Transmission HOD, and TX teams to relay urgent updates, resolve missing content issues, and ensure seamless broadcast operations.

Issue Response: Demonstrate quick response and decision-making abilities under pressure to rectify any transmission problems that arise during a shift.

Eligibility Criteria :

Education: Fresh graduates with a Bachelor's degree (B.A or B.Com) are welcome to apply .

Technical Understanding: Must have a basic understanding of playout and transmission systems, with a strong sense of responsibility and presence of mind.

Soft Skills: Excellent communication and team coordination skills, along with the ability to be a quick learner in a fast-paced environment.
